HP F4280 With CISS

Generally, HP F4280 is a good 3 in 1 printer in terms of its printing speed & its resolution. F4280 prinitng speed up to 26 ppm for black & 20 ppm for color. The resolution is 4800 x 1200. Yet, its scanning resolution up to 1200 x 2400 dpi.

While, here goes another story behind F4280...The printer is using HP60 [CC640WA] for black and Tri-color cartridge with the code of HP60 [CC643WA]. From the specification provided by the manufacturer, the black cartridge page yield is 200 pages & 165 pages for the color cartridge. Both cartridges cost around RM60.00 / cartridge. It sounds to be not much pages that you can made from each of the cartridge, thus, HP does come with an alternative for those who requires bigger ink volume. The CC641WA (Black), manufacrturer claims that it can print up to 600 pages and CC644WA ( Tri-Color) up to 440 pages. Oh! Sounds to be much more compared to the previous. Well, that's why manufacturer names both the cartridge to be XL. Of course, there is no free lunch in this world, you need to a little bit more for these 2 XL cartridges. Opss..i forget to clarify that those figures claimed by the manufacturer are based on certain kind of measurement/print out. So, dont expect to get up to the fugure if you are printing something that consumes more ink, such as full page of photo.

So, after all of this..what do you think when you purchase such a good printer which costs you around RM 200.00. Dont think much..let go for CISS.

Canon iP3680, a professional photo printer, gives you a better quality of photo printing compared to some other low end printer. It comes with a higher resolution of 9600 x 2400 dpi.

Other than the resolution, the printer becomes more beauty with its printing speed. I strongly recommmend this machine for those who prints photo, images and documents frequently.

Again, the printer is good enough and still consider economic as its price fall in the range of less than RM400.00 But, the hidden price that you are going to pay for that machine is actually the its consumables, which is PGI820BK , CLI820BK, CLI821C , CLI821M, CLI821Y. I suppose all these 5 cartridges will cost you around RM 160/set. Yet, its contents is extreamely low and the cartridge chamber's size is lightly smaller than what we use to have in BCI3eBk Series cartridges.

A good printer that need expensive ink for it to work on. Again, the same story happens here. So, let's GO for CISS with it!

Some people might worry that...CISS will damage your printer. Well, the manufacturer of the printer keeps telling consumers that using third party ink will damage your printer , void your printer warranty and so on....and so on.

Well, think about it...

How much you spend to get the new printer? For example, a new Mp145 will cost you around RM190++ or is easier we make it RM 200.00.

But, beware, the cost you spend on 1 set of PG40 & CL41..( Opss..dont it both separetely, as there is combo / Promotion pack now, which cost you about RM 128.00 per pack, which is slightly cheaper compared to if you get them separately). Well, what if you buy 2 Combo pack..? It cost you RM 256.00. Oppss....more than what you have paid for the printer! Yet, 2 Combo pack of ink cartridges sounds to be much...but it end up get you about 32ml of black & 8ml of color.

So, what does the warranty means to you if you have to keep on using/ spending Original Ink?

Now, people realized the tricks...they forget about the warranty issue and simply get CISS directly from the first day they buy the printer..What happens if your printer damages within the period of warranty...? throw it away and get a new one..as the saving that you have made from using CISS, i think ..and i strongly believe it is going to be enuv for you to get a NEW printer and most probably..more than just 1 New Printer!
